How can I bypass an HTC M8 pattern?

hey my son put a pattern on my htc m8 and i cant remember which email i set it up with.....making things worse my volume down key does not work......anyone got any idea how i can deal with this???

Log in to Google's Android Device Manager with your account on a pc or other Android device.
www.google.com/android/devicemanager
Wait for it to be located, then select "Lock" which will ask for a new security pin. This will override your previous lock when it reaches your phone. You can also put a message on the screen and a phone number, so you can tell when it has activated the new lock.
This will only work if Android Device Manager was left enabled.

And if you log in with the account that's in the phone, so you may have to try a few.
