Why aren't my contacts syncing properly on my Note 4?

Contacts not syncing properly on Note 4

Contacts stored in phone and contacts coming in from Facebook and Gmail/Google are not linking properly. Each contact is listed twice, one for the contact saved in the phone and one for the contact coming in from Facebook and/or Google.
