How to update ringtones menu?

I recently rooted my Android 4.1.2 device and installed Root Browser. I deleted all the internal ringtones and added my own .ogg files.
But the ringtones menu in the settings doesn't seem to update. It doesn't show my songs but only shows one option - "Silent".

Pls help. How to update the menu?

Maybe a different way is to install a file explorer. That should allow you to set that tone as a ringtone.

Try putting an mp3 file into the Ringtones folder and restarting the phone - see if it shows. (Sometimes the media scanner just doesn't do a rescan if you add or delete ringtones in a non-standard way.) If you're going to be doing a lot of that sort of thing, you might want to install Rescan Media.

Rebooting and Rescan Media didn't work. And I don't want to install a file explorer. Isn't there any other way to solve this?
