Why are my transferred pictures so small?

I transferred my vacation pictures from my HTC One to my PC. After they were successfully transferred, I deleted them from my phone. Now when I tried to view them from my PC, they are extremely tiny and will not adjust to resizing (without looking extremely pixelated). It's as if I just lost all my photos. What program or adjustment can I make so that my pictures go back to normal?!

You probably transferred thumbnails, not the actual pictures - which are now gone, unless they were on the external SD card (then you can use PhotoRec to recover them). Always check a backup before deleting the original.
