Why does my phone keep powering off?

Phone keeps powering off!!!

Having an issue with my Galaxy S4. This started yesterday morning where my phone would randomly power off every hour, and I mean power off; not restart. Throughout the day it got progressively worse till the point where now it only turns on for a second. It gets to the Galaxy sign and then powers off. Can't even get to the download mode, as soon as I hit the vol up to continue it powers off. Confirmed it's not the battery as I took a batter from a known working device and same issue. I'm thinking it's hardware related as it doesn't even get a chance to boot up. Any ides what I can be?

If it's under warranty. have it replaced. If not, it's going to have to go on the bench for diagnosis. (I'm suspecting something on the motherboard, but that's just one small step from a wild guess.)

Unfortunately not, just had the manuf warranty. And not quite yet due for an upgrade
