I'm wanting to get out of these contracts and high prices. I want to go the prepaid route but I love my LG g2. And I want to keep my phone number. Is there a way of keeping both my number and my phone and what prepaid carrier would be best ? I live in Georgia if that helps .

Unfortunately you can't. The device is locked to Verizon and needs to stay on their network. They have a prepaid service, perhaps they can move you to that. Otherwise, consider a reasonably priced device for use on a pay-as-you-go provider. The Moto G, Nexus 5 are two good devices.

Let us know how it goes.
