    Ideally, I'd like something so easy my grandmother could do it. Plug it into my PC and click Root.

    You'll have to check XDA to see if anything exists. I'm going to assume that there isn't such a method available, and you will probably need to install Odin to root the device. It won't be as simple as a one click solution, but hopefully it's not that difficult.
