Does the "speed" of a microSD card really matter?

I'm looking at buying an LG G3 and want to get a microSD card to expand the memory. I'm mostly going to just be storing music on it and pictures I take with the camera.

The cards I'm seeing say either 30 mb/s and 48 mb/s. I don't know a lot about microSD cards, so I'm not sure if it really matters for what I'd be primarily using it for. I know some will say that faster is always better, but does it really make a noticeable and worthwhile difference?

Thanks.

In normal usage, probably not but if you transfer a lot of data to the computer frequently then it can make a difference
