When I'm in a store somewhere, I try to use my apps but I keep getting cut off by "webpage not available"

*Make sure you have a data connection
    *Reload this webpage later
    *Check the address you enterered
THEN it will try to connect me to the stores wifi and tell me I have to enter their password etc. and its often not even at&t, lol.

I do have my mobile data selected so why isn't it just using that instead of trying to connect me constantly to other peoples wifi?

Sometimes it WILL for a few moments connect me with the data I assume, and allow me to use my apps or internet, but then WHAM...there it goes and hits me with the INTERRUPTION asking me these questions all over again. This continues the whole time I am out and I hate this cause I can't use it. My husband has the apple and this does NOT happen to his when we are together..just the gs3

I need your help, please because I cannot find this particular problem and I do not know too much about this. I have cleared my cache on most apps etc. I do not want to reset my phone though.

ANY help will be so appreciated so thank you in advance.

    THANKS

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Wi-fi, tap Menu, then Advanced, and make sure "Scanning always available" is turned off.
