    Hi everybody,

I have a relatively old HP C5280 printer with no wifi capabilities, so I connected it with the usb cable to my router, which has an integrated print server.
I can now print directly from my computer using wifi, but with an android phone I can only do it when the PC is on.
The question is: why can the PC send files directly to the router connected to the printer and there is no android app that lets you do it.

P.S. the router even has a direct print port, how can I connect to it and finally print wirelessly without having to mediate the printing through the pc?

There are several apps which should allow you to do this task. I personally have an Epson Workforce and I use an Epson app to print directly to it via my router, without the need for any PC assist. If I were you I would look for an HP app. This one is by HP and may work for your needs if not there were several others that popped up in my search.
