How do I root my D-Link Android 4.2.2 tablet?

I recently got a tablet off the internet but have had endless troubles installing Google Play store, now I have installed it but it keeps giving me errors? I have tried everything downloaded a file manager (But cant click the Root Explorer button?) It says Root Explorer cannot be enabled. Make sure your device is rooted? How do I do that?
