All sensors other than light sensor stopped working, possibly after 4.4.4 update. [GS4]

AC Question

I never really used any anything related to the sensors after my phone forced me to update until recently. My phone won't rotate when I try to.

I read some fixes online, however they're mainly for rooted phones. Note that my phone is NOT rooted. What could be wrong and what can I do? I'd be happy if I can at least get the accelerometer/gyroscope to work.

Device Information
Galaxy S4
Current Version: 4.4.4
Carrier: T-Mobile

Try wiping the Cache Partition, and if that doesn't do it, you may want to try a Factory Reset, as long as your personal data is backed up. Should you decide on the latter, note that it may be necessary to do additional backups of call logs and SMS history using third-party apps. Check VW Maverick's reset guide:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-factory-data-reset-your-android-device.html

Paul627g's article describes a way of backup and restore of SMS:

If you're not sure, Cache Partition wiping is described here:

I am fairly sure this will NOT work on a major carrier phone, but dialling *#0*#
brings a service mode on unlocked versions that has several sensor tests.
It may be temporary, and a cache wipe ^^ may help.
