Welcome to Android Central! Quick question--any reason why you prefer entering into the SIM card, and not into your Google account? If it's only on your SIM card, then that information will be lost if anything happens to your phone (like damage or theft). If it's associated with your Google account, it's synced automatically to your Google Contacts in the cloud, and therefore always accessible, even if something happens to the phone.
