why can i not send or receive picture messages on my new phone

Since I got my new samsung galaxy 5 phone, I am unable to send or receive picture messages or MMS pictures

Try Message app Menu - Settings - Input Mode, and Creation Mode. Also check if it has a Message Center number.

These may vary between versions and carriers, and may not be the issue.

Also Connections - More Networks - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names, touch for details.

You can also go to General - About Device - Status and check there.
Or remove the sim card for 20 minutes, put it back, wait to see if it sends more settings.

Or contact your carrier. They may try another sim.
