Why sony xperia z ultra mobile doesn't detect usb cable???

I want to transfer many photos and videos from internal storage to laptop.....but i cant able to transfer...???can anyone help me..???

Welcome to Android Central! What happens when you connect? Do you see a USB connection notification appear on the phone? If so, tap it and make sure it's set to MTP.

When you connect, does anything register on the computer? Have you tried different USB cables?
