Can towelroot be manually uninstalled from a Galaxy S4 on 4.4.4?

[AC Question]

I attempted to root my S4 by following a youtube video. All went well until I tried to install towelroot. I downloaded it, but when I triex to install it, a message said that another version of towelroot with a different signature was already installed. I want to uninstall the current onr, but it doesn't show up in any app listing on tbe phone. I found a couple of files named com.geohot.towelroot_1 & towelroot.png, but they aren't executables. Can anyone help me out, I'm completely stumped.

Welcome to the forums. Is Towelroot in your apps list? Settings>Application Manager?

Unfortunately no, it isn't. Also, I just discovered that I can no longer turn on wifi. That is now my major problem. When I try the on/off button just moves back to off. It's drastic, but might a hard reset fic this?

You can try, I am not sure how a reset will affect towelroot. Depending on how it roots, it might not work.
