Will replacing the HTC one M7 camera fix the purple tint on pictures?

I have a HTC one camera that I bought used, and the camera has a purple tint that becomes more and more apparent as the lighting gets darker. Will replacing the camera at a phone repair shop fix this problem? Or is it software based? thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! My understanding is that the purple tint is due to damage to the camera's sensor, so replacing the camera module should correct it.
