Why does the time update slowly?

On my Gear 2 Neo if i look at the time (either via a wake up gesture or just pressing the button), the time is usually displayed as a minute or 2 ago, then about a second later it updates to the correct time, why is this? For example if the time is 14:12 I may press the button and it will say 14:10 and then a second later change to 14:12 - is this normal?

What phone are you using? Does this happen when the phone is awake, or when the phone is off?

I am on a note 4 and it happens whether the phone is on and actively being used, or in standby.

It seems to be ok for a basic clock.

Yes it does seem to depend on the watch face used - the basic ones seem ok - the ones that are a bit more 'flashy' looking seem to be the problem.
I'm curious as to why you asked about the phone though - surely the time display is independent of the phone isn't it? I mean I can obviously switch bluetooth off and just use it as a basic watch can't I?
