How do I stop my Galaxy S4 email from syncing automatically to POP3?

Galaxy S4 email syncs automatically POP3

Even when I have my phone set to sync manual, when I first open the app it syncs by itself, I do not want it to do that. I want it to only sync when I push the refresh button.
