How do I uninstall the smart wifi toggler app from my phone?

I thought this app was what I wanted, but while it is helping me connect to wifi, it does not allow me to turn off the cell signal so my phone is not actually using the wifi over the cell signal, which is what I was hoping it would do. I tried to uninstall this from my phone so that I could get a different app which will do that, but each time I try (from the Settings > Manage/remove applications > Smart Wifi) when I push the final "uninstall" button it just tells me "Uninstall not successful." How can I get this app off my phone?

Welcome to the forums. The app may have needed Administrator access, which should be in Settings>Security>Device Administrators. If the app is there, and checked, you need to uncheck it, and then proceed with the removal.

Hi.. ive already try to uninstall from that menu, but its cannot choice uninstall. On google play said should deactived before, ive try but still not working. Help me, this app makes my battery dry

Please I went to security admin found the wifi app click off but as soon as I want to deactivate I can not click OK it's like the OK is not working only cancel and I am going crazy I want it gone and the dumm basketball on my phone :'(

Once it's off, you should be able to remove or disable the app. Is the Administrative access not turning off?

I was strugeling to get it of from my moms phone. After deactivating it from the setings shown above it was as easy as it was never there... Older people with phones installing stuff...

i uninstalled through going to security and disabling swift wifi and then uninstall it. thank u for help

Try to switch off wifi anda data connection then proceed with the step above..it works well for me after disabling wifi anda data

Turn on airplane mode. Turn on wifi. You'll be on wifi or nothing (if there's no wifi where you are, there's no wifi).
