I have been reading that some people are offering free internet(not wifi) with a special app or configuration . Is it scam or really possible?
    Thanks

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably ain't true. There are services like FreedomPop that advertise "free internet and calls," but there are always some fine print details to look through. See this article (but be aware that it's actually sponsored by FreedomPop themselves): How can this be real? Free wireless internet and 80% off a nationwide hotspot [sponsored] | Android Central

About the only way to get free wifi, other than by sitting in a McDonald's or a Starbucks, is to live in a city that offers free wifi to anyone. It's
"just there", provided by the city, so you just use it, like streetlights at night. (The taxpayers are paying for it.)
