My HTC One power button has completely broken. Is there a way to initiate power turn on via USB?

So my power button has always been an issue and i've used a Gravuty screen App to get around the problem. On the few occasions that the phone has powered down completely i've been able to wiggle a key around where the power button should be or something until it powers on. However that ships appears to have sailed. The phone is operational as it responds when a charged is applied, but i just need to turn it on. Any ideas? I'm led to believe there may be a way of booting it up via a USB connection. Is this correct?

Welcome to Android Central! From what I could find on the web, any possible solution would require USB debugging to be turned on, in which case you might be able to use an ADB command. See this thread: http://androidforums.com/threads/turn-on-with-broken-power-button.782297/#post-6376757
