Hi, I am sorry if this is a dumb question that's been asked before but I haven't found an answer.

I have an Lg Optimus L9 phone and it was crashing every five minutes so I thought I should restore it even though I've only had it for 3 weeks.

So I went to the Back up and restore and backed up my data and it said it was done and all then I reset my phone and now my data is all gone. I used the same gmail but it wasn't there. Where did I go wrong and is there any way to recover it? Or am I just out of luck?

Please, any help is greatly appreciated I don't want to spend forever adding my contacts back and re downloading everything I used to have.

I'm sorry if this is a really stupid thing to ask but I have never owned a phone before.

Welcome to Android Central! The data that is backed up to your account isn't necessarily from all apps. Unfortunately, there is no clear way to determine which apps will backup data to your Google account, and which ones won't. This support page might help a bit: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2819582?hl=en
