Why won't my Android tablet turn on when unplugged?

Android tablet will not turn on when unplugged

My Android tablet does all the right things when plugged in, it works, states that the tablet is charging, gives the charge percentage but will not go above 87%. When not plugged in it will not turn on. I have tried charging with a standard ( one pin) wall charger, a usb wall charger and usb plugged into the pc. When plugged into the pc it connects and files can be exchanged.

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? It's probably either a failing battery or some problematic battery connection. You'd either have to bring it to a repair shop or take it apart yourself to check.
