if lollipop is available for it via OTA upgrade then go to settings >about > check for system update > download > install
else, you'll need custom ROM. you can read how to upgrade Android OS for the custom ROM method of upgrading
Straight Talk doesn't do updates. If Alcatel writes a Lollipop ROM for the CDMA version (and that's a big if for either version - low-end phones usually don't get updated), and if someone captures the update file (it deletes itself after it updates the phone) and posts it, then you can download the file and update the phone.
droidkillaz you say you have rooted your alcatel one touch pop icon phone. I need to to do this but the purpose is so i can move apps to the SD card. Can you help me accomplish this/is it possible (I havewn't been successful yet...new at this game)?
