Use Google voice recognition with an external hardware keyboard

I like to use Google voice recognition with a word processor on my Galaxy Tab 4 tablet. I also like to use an external hardware keyboard; however with the keyboard plugged in I can't access the screen keyboard button that starts Google voice recognition. Is there any way around this; perhaps a keyboard key combination that starts Google voice recognition, or a word processor that incorporates a command to start Google voice recognition?
