Can I turn the speaker on with headphones plugged in?

Snow got into the headphone jack of my wife's S5, and not the headphone jack is stuck "on". The sound works fine if headphones are plugged in, but when she unplugs the headphones, there is no sound from the speaker. Is there a way to turn the speaker on when the phone thinks headphones are plugged in?

Welcome to Android Central! No, I don't believe so. Have you tried to clean the jack out with a damp toothpick or cotton swab? Or blow it out with a can of compressed air?
