I dropped my phone in water for about 2 seconds.. I have an Otterbox commuter case, so the only thing that seems to have taken any damage was the speakers. I went and tested everything, all buttons work, all ports are dry and functional, I can make calls and receive texts, but when I put Pandora on the speakers sounded a bit crackly.
I took the battery and SIM card out and put it in rice. I'm just wondering how long I should leave it in? A few hours? I unfortunately don't have the luxury of several days because I'm going on a trip and need my phone, and since everything seems to work fine but the speakers I could risk it after a few hours.
To be honest now I'm just terrified, with my luck, that putting it in rice will somehow magically make it not turn on afterwards, hahaa.
Anyone else experience anything like this?
