I'm using a Nexus 5 with Android 5.0.1 and I want to remove individual songs from my phone to free up space. As far as I can tell, it only gives me the option to either delete the song completely, which removes it from my library, or remove the whole album. I want the song to be taken off my phone but I still want to be able to stream it. I usually do this by connecting my phone to my PC and deleting the files in the music folder, but the stuff I've uploaded most recently (in the past month or so) isn't showing up for some reason.

Welcome to Android Central! The Google Play Music app only allows you to download an entire album at a time, and then remove the entire album from the phone--you can't pick and choose individual songs. Not sure why--give them some feedback. In the Google Play Music app, swipe in from the left, and tap Send Feedback at the very bottom.
