I can't sign into my Gmail account because I forgot the password, how do I recover it?

So, are you trying to reset your GMail password or get the tablet to stop trying to log in? If the latter (which, in theory, shouldn't happen since once the login fails, it just stops trying until you manually re-start the process) you can go into your Settings, look for the Accounts section, and there you can select Google, select your Google account and select the 'remove' option.
