My phone is frozen on the start-up screen, how do I fix this?

Phone frozen on start-up screen

I have a Samsung SPH-M840 and I dropped it this morning on the floor when I was sitting (not that big of an impact) and when I turned it on, I won't fully turn on all the way it will freeze mid-way of starting up. I cannot turn the phone off. I have take out the battery several times, even turning it on while charging it and nothing works. HELP!

Welcome to Android Central! Sometimes even innocuous drops can cause enough of a traumatic shock that it could damage something. See if you can boot into Recovery and wipe the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Follow the steps in this video, but instead of selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition. When complete, then select Reboot System Now.
