Why aren't my headphones turning off even when no headphones are plugged in?

headphones not turning off even when no headphones are plugged in.

I have the galaxy ace. My phone keeps saying that I have headphone plugged in when I don't. I don't know how to fix this. Anybody know how?

Welcome to Android Central! Use a damp toothpick to root around the headphone jack to see if there is any debris. Or use a can of compressed air to blow it out. If it looks clean, then the jack might be faulty. Does it persist after a reboot? You might also try a factory reset.

May be your pluggin port is damaged ..
