My HTC One camera has lost focus, how do I get it back?

htc one camera lost focus

So I got my HTC one m7 a littler over a month ago. Mind you it was given to me water damaged but since then revived. It was working fine up until 5 days ago the camera stopped focusing. I'd tap the screen, it'd make the focusing sound but the image just won't focus! I used to take extrememly sharp shots of homework notes or landscapes etcetera. Now every thing is an absolute blur!

Welcome to Android Central! The autofocus mechanism in the camera might have failed. Is it truly out of focus, or just hazy? If it's just hazy, the HTC One is kind of notorious for a coating they place on the camera lens glass that can get scratched easily, and therefore cause photos to start looking very hazy.
