I'm installing lollipop on galaxy s5

[AC Question]

now has been 5 hours the phone is frozen. the only info I got is "installing the application" other than that, the phone is frozen. is it normal? can I do something?

Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier? Was it an over-the-air update from the carrier, or did you try a manual install?

No, that isn't normal. The whole upgrade process should take about 30 minutes at the most. If the phone is still on and frozen, pull the battery for 10 seconds, then reinsert it and power back on. Does it work? If not, and if this was an over-the-air update, then contact your carrier and let them know the update messed things up, and ask them what they can do for you.
