I just updated my gs5 to lollipop 5.0 ( stock sprint) and noticed that whenever I put the phone on a table with the screen on the red heart rate light starts. Also it appears that the proximity sensor on the back is constantly on too ( if my finger goes near it, it turns on). In addition the heart rate process is using a lot of battery.

Is there any way to turn this off or fix it??? I've done a hard and soft reset so far to no avail.

Having the same issue on a Verizon gs5. Not seeing many mentions elsewhere on the Web.

It's happening more frequently now than after the update. Quick fix is just to open S Health and measure heart rate, which resets the sensor.

But it's a very annoying bug, and it'd be much harder to spot if I didn't have a clear case.
