Welcome to Android Central! Where are you seeing them? In the Gallery app? The Photos app (the one with the pinwheel icon)? Do those photos have either a Picasa icon or a pinwheel icon associated with the thumbnails?

Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and uncheck Gallery, Picasa, and/or Google+ Photos (what shows up in that list can vary depending on the device). Then go back to Gallery--if the photos are still there, then go to the App Manager, select Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open Gallery again, and wait a few seconds for the database to rebuild. The cloud photos should be gone.
