I recently dropped my S5 and have now found that with little bumps (ie being in a jeans pocket) will cause the phone to turn off, and I will need to remove and then put the battery back in in order for the phone to function again.

I took the phone in to a Samsung official repair shop where I was quoted £150 for it to be repaired, and they also commented they thought the phone was bent.

Am I being ripped off at a £150 repair charge? Am I better selling the phone on eBay/anywhere and then buying a new one? Will somewhere else repair it for cheaper? Many thanks. Jake

150 is probably on the cheaper side. Especially if there is motherboard damage. I don't think you are getting ripped off, but it might be more cost effective to use your insurance, or get a new device.
