i have a CnM touchpad 7DC ( a tablet company that went out of business 1 year ago).

luckily i downloaded the firmware files from the website before it went down.

the files i have are a file called update.img (about 500mb) and a update programme)

    i have two questions.

1- is this the firmware file i need to install the android again on the tablet.

2- is this going to install properly even though the companys gone out of business. because i have a feeling this file only finds searches for updates from CnM.

but considering its 500mb it must be something

thanks alot. (i can send the file to anyone that wants to see it although its quite large)

It looks more like the update from an earlier version of Android to a later version. It's not the full ROM. Look on XDA Forums for orphaned phones to see if anyone has a ROM file, or can make a system backup for you.
