Why is it all of a sudden my Galaxy S5 won't connect to my Verizon email when it is connected to wifi?

My Galaxy S5 all of a sudden won't connect to my verizon email when connected to WiFi.

I have the Samsung Galaxy s5 on AT&T, and have my verizon email account set up on it. As of a few months ago I noticed I couldn't send or receive emails when connected to a WiFi network. But when I turn WiFi off, all works fine. I first noticed this when I was getting annoying notifications all throughout the night that would say "failed to sign in to verizon". Any ideas on how to remedy this so I don't have to turn WiFi off every time I want to send or receive emails? Many thanks!

Use an email program on a laptop or desktop. Add your Verizon account. See if you have a problem there. If you do, call your internet provider for help. If not, delete the Verizon account from the phone and add it again.
