I (think) I have downloaded music via Play Music (I can play it when I go in that app) but it doesn't seem to show up anywhere else. I've looked in My Files (I'm on a Gs5), tried downloading from the PC, which according to my PC, I did successfully. But I can't find any of it anywhere. Not illiterate with phones, but I'm starting to feel stupid. Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Music downloaded directly to the phone via the Play Music app are intended for offline use by that app only. So the files are saved to an obscure directory that is not readily accessible to you, and the filename is coded. If you want your music in an mp3 file, then go to your Play Music library website on your computer browser and download the music from there. Then transfer those mp3 files to the phone's internal storage via USB. Now you can use other music players to play them.
