Why isn't my S5 scanning for wifi?

hey guys, wifi probems

my galaxy s4 will not even scan for wifi let alone turn on, when I press the wifi icon it turns a dull green in colour. I have also tried to hook up to Samsung keis but apparently it can not locate device. I have a year left on my contract and would apprieciate all the help I can get, oh and I just paid 160 to get the screen fixed about 2 months ago and my router is working perfect

If you go into Safe Mode, does the WiFi work? It could be a hardware problem if it doesn't work there, unfortunately.

cheers for the help, but nope! not a difference, I was talking to the guy that fixed my phone in the shop today he was saying its probley hardware too,bummmer

If it's not working on Safe Mode, I'm afraid it's looking more like a hardware issue.

I'd try to do a factory reset of the phone to clear out the entire system, but I have to be honest, it doesn't look like that would solve the issue... But it can't hurt to try. Just remember to back things up first! You don't want to lose important data with the factory wipe!
