I have a galaxy s3 phone. I have it set to auto-update with WIFI. Several times lately it starts downloading stuff and it stops the whole phone. I can't make phone calls. How can I tell what it is downloading? How can I stop it if I need to use the phone to make a call?

Can you not pull down the notification screen, like a roller blind over the main screen, to see what is downloading?

Perhaps the best solution would be to set the phone to manual downloads.... or if you don't need wifi on all the time, turn it off so that the downloads don't occur at inconvenient times.

You can open Play Store - My Apps and it will show you what's installing /downloading, and cued up.
