Yahoo mail stopped working on my Galaxy S4

I keep getting the message Yahoo Mail isn't responding.

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to the App Manager, select Yahoo Mail, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it again and log back into your Yahoo account. Does it work now?

I have the same issue. Yahoo mail has stopped working. I am hesitant to "clear data" as suggested in the post. What will I lose if I "clear data" I don't want to lose all my prior emails as part of this process? I cleared the cache and did a force stop. That did not work. I still can't get into my Yahoo email Please advise

I have the note 3. After loading lollipop, Yahoo mail stopped working I am reluctant to "clear data" since I don't know what data I am clearing. Will I lose my email history. I don't want to unknowingly erase all my prior emails in my Yahoo account as part of this process. I cleared cache. I forced stop. but I did not clear data. My Yahoo email still does not work. Help please.
