Text message delivery reports....how?

Galaxy note 4 - I have checked "Request a delivery report for each message you send" for both texts and MMS messages in the Text messages settings but do not see any delivery reports. What am I doing wrong?

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.

On a Note 3 they only appear for a second or two on the notification bar.
Not sure if the Note 4 is the same and you may have missed them.
