The phone was not damaged in any way...the touchscreen just stopped working, making the phone useless, except for telling me the date and time. With the touch screen not working, I am unable to unlock the phone to access anything on it.

Is there a way to some how reactivate the touchscreen so I can use my phone again?

You have a symptom - the touch screen isn't responding. Now you need a cause - the reason the touch screen isn't responding. It could be a bad screen, a bad cable, a bad cable connector, a loose connection, a bad motherboard - even leaving it in a very cold car overnight, then bringing it into a warm, normally humid environment, causing condensation, could cause it to stop functioning - and we can't determine what the cause is from here. If you can't determine it you'll have to bring it into a repair shop. (It's not "deactivated", there's no such thing, it's just not working.)
