I have an ATT LG G3 (D850). How do I remove my custom recovery (TWRP), and revert back to stock recovery, in order to update to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop?

Normally once you have unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom recovery the only way to place the stock recovery back aside from Nexus devices is to find and flash a " restore to stock " package. Yes this would remove root and most likely reset the device too in the process.
