So i have been reading posts on here about factory resetting after installing lollipop to fix battery drainage issues, connectivity issues, etc. But is it really necessary? Since i installed it my battery has been about the same even though i have connection issues here and there (which get to be quite irritating) and apps and the home screen runs a little choppy sometimes, would a factory reset fix these things? Also my phone disconnects from it's data for a couple seconds whenever I get a text message which is really really annoying but it did that before lollipop so maybe it's just my phone.

But really i want to know if a factory reset would fix the little issues or does it only fix the bigger ones people have?

You may just need to clear the cache if there are no major problems.
