Welcome to Android Central! It should do that automatically. Is your mobile data (3G/4G) on? That has to be on in order to send and receive MMS.

It also won't send anything larger than about 1MB (it varies by carrier). If you want to send larger videos (up to about 25MB), use email and attach the file. Larger than that? Post the file on your Dropbox, Drive or Box (or other) account and send a link to it or use Mega.
