Why is my phone heating?

Hi i have cm12 and ktoonsez aosp kernal installed, my phone is heating to 60 degrees..

why?

It's really hard to diagnose a problem like that without knowing the exact conditions of your phone or even which phone you're referring to, but a few pointers that are usually causing overheating issues:
1) Rogue app. You're using a modified version of Android. It might cause some apps to malfunction and use your processor too much. Ergo, overheating.
2) Your kernel is either configured to overclock the processor or it's just not working properly and causing it to overheat.
3) Your battery is faulty. This one is dangerous. If your battery is faulty it might overheat, especially when charging. In extreme cases, a faulty battery might explode.
4) Some other type of short circuit of faulty hardware. Electrical short circuits can cause overheating if something is touching something else it shouldn't be touching.
