Okay so I spilled a little isopropyl alcohol on my s4, and now when I try to boot it up the entire screen stays black but the phone works fine. However, when I start up the phone, I will see the logo appear faintly for a split second before fading out into black. Also, when I plug in the phone to charge, the battery icon will appear in faint orange and this too will fade out into black. Any ideas? I hope I don't have to replace the LCD.

Welcome to Android Central! That's interesting--I thought rubbing alcohol wouldn't damage any components, since it evaporates so quickly. Was it mixed with anything else? How long has this persisted after the spill? You might want to give it about 24 hrs and see if the problem is still there.

It has been 2 days, yet it is still not properly working. The logo does appear for brighter and longer now, but still nothing in terms of anything else. The alcohol was 91% from CVS and was not mixed with anything else.

    Anybody have any suggestions?
